& thriving

Hi, I'm Henry Ngai

At 40, I chose to start over. I walked away from a dream job, healed from lifelong eczema, learned to manage ADHD, and survived the 2011 Japan earthquake that changed my perspective forever.

Now based in Thailand, I'm rebuilding my life with intention — using travel as therapy, wellness as a foundation, and every experience as a chance to level up.

This is where I share everything I've learned about resilience, reinvention, and choosing yourself.

What I Create

Four interconnected themes that guide everything I share — blending adventure with introspection, experiences with growth.

ADHD Coaching

Your brain isn't broken.
It's just wired differently.

I'm Henry — I was diagnosed with ADHD in my 40s. I know firsthand what it's like to feel scattered, overwhelmed, and misunderstood. Now I help adults with ADHD build systems that actually work for their unique brain.

Life feels harder than it should for everyone else.

ADHD isn't laziness. It isn't a lack of intelligence. It's an executive function challenge — and with the right strategies, everything changes.

  • You start strong, crash hard. Hyperfocus one day, paralysis the next.
  • Time blindness is real. Deadlines sneak up, hours disappear.
  • You have big ideas but can't execute. The gap between vision and action feels impossible.
  • You've tried every planner, app, and system. Nothing seems to stick longer than a week.
  • The shame spiral is exhausting. You know what to do — you just can't make yourself do it.

Common Questions

Therapy focuses on processing emotions, trauma, and mental health. Coaching is action-oriented and future-focused — we work on practical strategies for managing ADHD day-to-day: time management, task initiation, organisation, and momentum. Many of my clients see both a therapist and a coach, and find they complement each other well.
No formal diagnosis is required. Many people I work with are in the process of being assessed or strongly suspect they have ADHD but haven't yet received a diagnosis. If you're struggling with executive function, focus, or the symptoms we discuss, coaching can be valuable regardless of where you are in the diagnostic process.
Most clients notice meaningful changes within the first 2–3 sessions. We aim for quick wins early — small, implementable strategies that build confidence and momentum. Deeper systemic change typically develops over 2–3 months of consistent coaching. That said, everyone's brain is different and timelines vary.
Sessions are 50 minutes over video call. We check in on the previous week, celebrate wins (they matter!), troubleshoot what didn't work, and identify your focus for the coming week. It's collaborative, conversational, and judgment-free. You'll always leave with clear, specific actions — not vague advice.
